Hey guys

i want to run my 4 ohm fender silverface vibrochamp into my 16ohm 4x12 marshall stack.

I've been told that it would be safe because the speakers are higher rating than the amp is outputting.

Anyway, the fender has an RCA cable which is currently connecting it's 1x12 speaker

my question is if i use a RCA to 1/4 adapter on the 1/4 speaker cable i already have will it be safe to just plug straight into my halfstack?

any help would be appreciated.

ps. i'm selling my orange ad30htc.

I am assuming the Vibrochamp is a tube amp like the old ones. I would not run a 16 ohm load on a 4 ohm transformer tap. It isn't the power rating, it's the load reflection. Rewire the cab for for 4 ohms. F you don't you will risk an OT failure.
